City Woman Nabbed for Issuing Bad Checks

Portsmouth Police supplied the following arrest information.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Monday, Oct. 1 through Tuesday, Oct. 2.

Monday:

  • At 10:38 a.m., police reported a theft on Market Street after the caller said someone stole his camera.
  • At 1:05 p.m., police reported another theft from a business on Woodbury Avenue of $106 in cash. The caller told police it may be an employee who is responsible.
  • At 5:15 p.m., police reported a theft and forgery with a suspect on State Street.

  • At 12:22 a.m., police arrested an Exeter man for motor vehicle offenses on Lafayette Road and Freedom Circle. Jacob Madore, 18, of 2 Lincoln St., Apt. 2, in Exeter was charged with operation with a suspended registration.
  • At 6:36 a.m., police reported a missing person on Winsor Road after the caller said her 19-year-old son has not bee heard from in three days. She told police she believes he may have headed to New York.
  • At 9:42 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after he was detained at the Rockingham County Jail in Brentwood. Aja Richard Kennedy, 37, of 777 Middle Road, Apt. 68 in Portsmouth was wanted for issuing bad checks.
  • At 10 a.m., police reported a walk in theft after the caller said someone stole $1,000 from their account.
  • At 12:48 p.m., police arrested a Hampton woman who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after she turned herself in at the police station. Narda U. Albert, 50, of 94 Ocean Blvd. in Hampton was wanted for criminal mischief (vandalism).
  • At 2:30 p.m., police reported a theft on Winsor Road after the caller said her 15-year-old child stole her video camera and may be trying to pawn it.
  • At 3:44 p.m., police reported the theft of a wallet from a vehicle on Islington Street.
  • At 10:20 p.m., police reported the theft of a GPS Garmin device from a vehicle on Marcy Street.
