Divers Search River for Lizzi Marriott's Body
Portsmouth Police closed down the Peirce Island Road before the dog park to allow NH Fish and Game divers to assist the search.
Peirce Island Road has been shut down just before the dog park as divers from the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department search for the body of Lizzi Marriott.
NH Fish and Game Major Kevin Jordan said his agency has been working with NH Marine Patrol, State Police and the Coast Guard since the search for the 19-year-old UNH student began on Oct. 12. But Jordan said Tuesday marked the first time that Fish and Game divers were used.
Jordan could not say if NH Fish and Game divers will be requested by the New Hampshire Attorney General's office to return to Peirce Island. A State Police helicopter could also be seen flying over the island to assist the ongoing search effort, which is in its 13th day.

New Hampshire Associate Attorney General Jane Young said Monday that the search area now includes Peirce Island, Portsmouth Harbor and the coastline down to Rye.
She said FBI aircraft will be used every other day this week to provide the Coast Guard and New Hampshire Marine Patrol crews with an aerial component to help locate the body of the 19-year-old University of New Hampshire student who police say was murdered by Seth Mazzaglia in his Dover apartment on Oct. 9.

On Tuesday afternoon, Young said Fish and Game divers made "a scheduled dive." She also said that if authorities feel they need them to return, they will certainly call them again.
Young said the Fish and Game divers focused on the area close to the Peirce Island lookout where NH Marine Patrol and Coast Guard members have been consistently searching for Marriott's body.
"We still haven't found Miss Marriott's body," Young said.
When asked how much longer the search for Marriott's body will continue, Young said no decision has been made. She added that finding Marriott's body "is still our goal."
Meanwhile, Young said all court documents related to Mazzaglia's second-degree murder charge at Dover District Court remain sealed. She said there will be a hearing on Monday, Oct. 29, to determine if they will remain sealed. Mazzaglia is also scheduled to return to Dover District Court for a probable cause hearing at 10 a.m. on Oct. 29.
