Driver Injured After Colliding Into Truck In Portsmouth: Troopers
The Sarah Long Bridge was closed for about 90 minutes Wednesday after a car collided with a truck towing a trailer on the Route 1 Bypass.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — New Hampshire State Police are investigating a crash on the Route 1 Bypass and Sarah Long Bridge on Wednesday that closed the highway for around 90 minutes.
Just before 6 a.m., state troopers were sent to a report of a crash between a 2018 Toyota Corolla and a 2020 Freightliner truck towing a box trailer.
The truck was driven by Stephen Keith, 52, of Lewiston, Maine. He was driving south at the time when the Toyota, being driven north by Dakotah Cappelletty, 24, of Rochester, "crossed the center line, impacting the rear axle of the box trailer," according to Lt. John Hennessey of Troop A.

"Cappelletty sustained multiple, non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision, and was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for evaluation," he said.
The bridge was closed for about 90 minutes during the investigation and while a wrecker cleared the vehicles from the bridge. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, Hennessey said.

State police were assisted at the scene by the NH State Police Troop G Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Unit, Portsmouth police and fire and rescue teams as well as National Wrecker, he said.
