First pedestrians and bicyclists got to go across the Memorial Bridge on Thursday morning, and just before 2 p.m., motorists were able to drive across the bridge for the first time in two years.
As cars drove from Portsmouth to Kittery, Maine, they were flanked by pedestrians and bicyclists on either side of the bridge and there was ample room for all.
