Firefighters responded to a 1-alarm fire in a local condominium complex on Monday afternoon. The fire was reported at #14 Cedar Ridge Condos on Ocean Road at 2:40 p.m., according to emergency radio broadcasts. Upon arrival, there was smoke showing from the roof and fire on the second floor. Firefighters had the blaze knocked down within about 5 minutes. The condo where the fire started was reportedly vacant. There was fire and smoke damage to a second floor home office space. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
