1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for a mostly sunny day, with a high near 35 degrees. On Wednesday night, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 22 degrees.
2. African Burying Ground candlelight procession: Following African-American writer/performer Carlyle Brown’s performance at the Music Hall on Wednesday night, there will be a candlelight procession at the site of the African Burying Ground Memorial on Chestnut Street that will include music and a special reading of a 1779 petition submitted by African slaves to the state Legislature.
3. Police Commission meeting: The Portsmouth Police Commission is meeting on Wednesday night at City Hall at 6 p.m.

4. Don't miss "Robot and Frank": The movie, "Robot and Frank," will be shown at the Portsmouth Public Library Levenson Meeting Room on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
5. On this day in 2003, 100 concert-goers were killed in a fire at The Station nightclub in West Warwick, R.I. after fireworks ignited during a show by the rock band Great White. It was the fourth deadliest fire in American history.
