Martin Luther King Day is Monday; EasyPark registrations now available; sunny, cold day in the forecast.

1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for a sunny day with a high temperature of 24 degrees. On Friday night, there will be increasing clouds with a low temperature of 18 degrees.

2. Martin Luther King Day: The city will celebrate Martin Luther King Day this Monday, Jan. 21. All city offices and public schools will be closed.

3. Deceased young mother's family needs your help: The family of Corie Jabre, the 30-year-old Portsmouth mother of four who passed away on Sunday, is still looking for donations to help pay for her funeral as well as breast milk donations for her twin infant sons. Visit the Give Forward website for the Corie Jabre Memorial Fund if you would like to help.

4. City now accepting EasyPark registrations: City officials are now accepting registrations for the new EasyPark device that allows Portsmouth drivers to pay for whatever time they actually park in a given space downtown. People can register online at www.easyparkusa.com/portsmouth.

5. See “Ice Age: Continental Drift”: The Portsmouth Public Library will screen the family film “Ice Age: Continental Drift” in the Levenson Room from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, free of charge.
