Sarah Mildred Long Bridge now open; City Council work session on proposed Capital Improvement Plan tonight; some snow, sleet and freezing rain in the forecast.
1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for a chance of snow showers in the afternoon with a high temperature near 29 degrees. On Monday night, there will be some snow and sleet before it turns to freezing rain with a low temperature around 28 degrees.
2. Sarah Mildred Long Bridge now open: New Hampshire DOT bridge maintenance crews successfully repaired the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge this weekend and reopened the bridge to motor vehicle and marine traffic Sunday night.
3. Portsmouth Schools to hold flu clinic: The Portsmouth Schools will hold a flu clinic on Monday afternoon at New Franklin School from 3 to 5 p.m. for students and staff who live in Portsmouth, New Castle, Rye, Greenland and Newington.

4. City now accepting EasyPark registrations: City officials are now accepting registrations for the new EasyPark device that allows Portsmouth drivers to pay for whatever time they actually park in a given space downtown. People can register online at www.easyparkusa.com/portsmouth.
5. City Council meeting: The Portsmouth City Council will hold a work session on the fiscal year 2014 Capital Improvement Plan budget at City Hall on Monday night at 6:30 p.m. The agenda can be viewed on the city's web site.
