PHS Clippers in NHIAA tournament; Technical Advisory Committee meeting at City Hall; chance of snow and rain in the forecast.

1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for a chance of showers with a high temperature of 43 degrees. On Tuesday night, there will be a chance of snow showers with a low temperature of 31 degrees.

2. TAC meeting today: The city's Technical Advisory Committee is meeting at City Hall on Tuesday at 2 p.m. The agenda can be viewed on the city's website.

3. PHS Clippers in NHIAA: The Portsmouth High Clippers Boys and Girls basketball teams hope to both capture 2013 NHIAA Division II crowns in this year's tournament.

4. Little League sign-ups: Registrations are now being accepted for Portsmouth Little League Baseball, according to the city's website. To be eligible, players must have been born between May 1, 2000 and April 30, 2006. There are four different divisions including the 7-8 year old group, 9-10 year old group, 11-12 year old group and the challenger group for disabled people. 5. AARP to offer free tax assistance: The AARP will offer Portsmouth area residents free 2012 income tax return preparation assistance at the Portsmouth Public Library through Sunday, April 14. The service will offered from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Sundays. People should call 2-1-1 to make an appointment and walk-ins are also welcome.
