Lady Clippers to play for Division II title; daylight saving time begins Sunday; more snow in the forecast.

1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for more snow in the morning before the winter storm winds down with a high temperature of 43 degrees. On Friday night, it will be mostly cloudy and blustery with a low temperature of 28 degrees.

2. Daylight saving time this weekend: Believe it or not, it is almost time to spring ahead, with Daylight Saving Time beginning on Sunday, March 10. Before you go to bed on Saturday, March 9, remember to turn your clocks ahead one hour.

3. PHS Clippers in NHIAA: The Portsmouth High Clippers Boys and Girls basketball teams hope to both capture 2013 NHIAA Division II crowns in this year's tournament.

4. Committee on Operational Efficiencies meeting: The city's Committee on Operational Efficiencies will meet at City Hall on Friday at 8 a.m. to look at ways to improve the Portsmouth Police and Portsmouth Fire departments.

5. PHS solar project: The Portsmouth High School Environmental Change Organization is still looking for donations for their Sell-A-Cell project by launching a donation site using the popular crowd-funding resource Indiegogo. The solar panels are scheduled to be installed in April.
