Five Things You Need to Know Today, Nov. 15

1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for a sunny day with a high near 45. Northeast wind 5 to 11 mph. On Thursday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low around 30. Northwest wind around 6 mph.

2. "Tommy" at PHS: The musical "Tommy," featuring music by The Who will be performed this weekend at Portsmouth High School beginning on Thursday night at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 each and the musical will be performed on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and on Sunday at 2 p.m.

3. Enter Facebook photo contest: Be sure to submit your photos for the Portsmouth Patch Facebook cover photo contest between now and 12 noon on Friday. Readers will then be able to comment on their favorite photos beginning on Nov. 19 through Nov. 23 and ultimately choose the best photo. The winner will receive a $50 gift card.

4. Restaurant Week continues: The Restaurant Week Portsmouth and the Seacooast continues until Nov. 17 and will feature several Portsmouth area restaurants that will offer great deals for lunch and dinner.

5. Planning Board meeting: The Portsmouth Planning Board will meet on Thursday at City Hall at 7 p.m. The agenda can be viewed on the city's web site.
