Five Things You Need to Know Today, Nov. 16

"Tommy" at PHS; Clippers to take on Goffstown Area High in Division III football title game Saturday; another cold, fall day in the forecast.

1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for a sunny day with a high near 49. North wind 3 to 6 mph. On Friday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low around 33. North wind around 6 mph.

2. "Tommy" at PHS: The musical "Tommy," featuring music by The Who will be performed this weekend at Portsmouth High School beginning on Thursday night at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 each and the musical will be performed on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and on Sunday at 2 p.m.

3. Enter Facebook photo contest: Be sure to submit your photos for the Portsmouth Patch Facebook cover photo contest between now and 12 noon on Friday. Readers will then be able to comment on their favorite photos beginning on Nov. 19 through Nov. 23 and ultimately choose the best photo. The winner will receive a $50 gift card.

4. Restaurant Week continues: The Restaurant Week Portsmouth and the Seacooast continues until Nov. 17 and features several Portsmouth area restaurants that will offer great deals for lunch and dinner.

5. PHS Clippers title game: The Clippers will take on the Goffstown Area High School Grizzlies in the Division III Football championship game at Portsmouth High School on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Clippers hope to win their second title in a row after they defeated the Bedford High Bulldogs a year ago.
