1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for a cloudy day, with a high near 54. West wind 5 to 7 mph. On Friday night, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. Northwest wind around 6 mph.

2. Maggie Hassan picks up endorsement: Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Maggie Hassan is scheduled to receive the endorsement from the Metal Trades Council at Prescott Park on Friday at 9 a.m.

3. Mitt Romney in Portsmouth Saturday: Mitt Romney will hold a rally at Portsmouth International Airport in Newington on Saturday at 9 a.m. and Patch will be there to bring you the story, video and photos with just four days left before the Nov. 6 general election.

4. Caroline Kennedy also in the city: Caroline Kennedy will bring her Granite State Women 2012 tour to Portsmouth on Saturday at 9:45 a.m. at 300 Rockland St. to stump for President Obama, according to Obama for America-NH officials.

5. Trick of treat Saturday: Portsmouth Police Chief Stephen DuBois announced last weekend that the city's trick or treating that was scheduled to take place on Tuesday night will now be held on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. due to Hurricane Sandy.
