See what's closed on Thanksgiving Day; Memorial Bridge Illumination campaign launched; mostly cloudy November day in the forecast.
1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for a mostly cloudy day, with a high near 48. Northeast wind 9 to 11 mph. On Wednesday night, it will be partly cloudy with a low around 36. Northeast wind 3 to 7 mph.
2. Fund-raising for Memorial Bridge Illumination: The Memorial Bridge Illumination Sub-Committee officially launched its on Tuesday at Kittery Town Hall so the new bridge can be lighted up at night.
3. Vote for new Patch Facebook photo: Be sure to vote for your favorite photo that will serve as the new cover shot for Portsmouth Patch between now and Wednesday at 12 noon. The winner will receive a $50 gift card.

4. See what's closed on Turkey Day: According to city officials, all city offices, City Hall, recreational facilities, Portsmouth schools and the Portsmouth Public Library will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. 5. Seacoast Area Firefighters Toy Bank: On Black Friday, the Seacoast Area Firefighters Toy Bank will kick off in front of Wal-Mart on Lafayette Road. Firefighters need your help to give some children a Merry Christmas and any donation of new toys and gift cards is welcome.
