Library to host Winter Wonderland Tea; enter Patch Deck the House holiday lights contest; another cold, November day in the forecast.

1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for a partly sunny day, with a high near 33. Northwest wind around 11 mph becoming northeast in the afternoon. On Friday night, there is a slight chance of snow after 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 23. Northeast wind around 7 mph.

2. City legislative delegation meeting: The City Council Legislative Subcommittee/Delegation will meet at City Hall on Friday at 8 a.m. in the School Board conference room A. The agenda can be viewed on the city's web site.

3. Library to host Winter Wonderland Tea: The Portsmouth Public Library is hosting a Winter Wonderland Tea on Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. that will include lots of hot cocoa, holiday crafts and other fun family activities.

4. Enter Patch Deck the House contest: Portsmouth Patch is accepting submissions of photos and video from Portsmouth residents who believe they have the best holiday lights for the Patch Deck the House contest. The winner of the nationwide competition will receive $100,000 for their local school district and have their electricity bill paid for one month.

5. Seacoast Area Firefighters Toy Bank: The Seacoast Area Firefighters Toy Bank needs your help to give some children a Merry Christmas and any donation of new toys and gift cards is welcome.
