1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for a slight chance of showers after 7 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 59. Tonight, there will be a chance of showers, mainly before 1 a.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 44.
2. U.S. Sen. Ayotte at Prescott Park: U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-NH, will be at Prescott Park this morning at 9 a.m. to lend her support to “Active Heroes” team members who are walking over 2,500 miles from Maine to Florida in support of military families.
3. "Illuminate New Memorial Bridge": A group of Portsmouth and Kittery, Maine residents hope to raise $80,000 by Oct. 30 to provide the New Hampshire Department of Transportation with the funds needed to illuminate the new Memorial Bridge at night with energy efficient LED lights.

4. Conservation Commission: The Portsmouth Conservation Commission is scheduled to meet at City Hall at 3:30 p.m. The agenda can be viewed on the city's web site.
