Five Things You Need to Know Today, Oct. 15

Dover man to be arraigned today for Lizzi Marriott's murder; city announces trick or treat times; sunny, mild day in the forecast.

1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for a mostly cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 54. On Friday night, there will be a patchy frost after 3 a.m. Otherwise, clear, with a low around 32.

2. Dover man to be arraigned: Seth Mazzaglia, 29, of Dover is scheduled to be arraigned in Dover District Court on Monday morning for second-degree murder in connection with the disappearance and death of UNH student Elizabeth "Lizzi" Marriott. Portsmouth Patch will have full coverage.

3. City announces trick or treat times: Portsmouth officials announced that trick or treating for Halloween will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

4. Flu clinic at high school: The Portsmouth School Department will hold a free flu vaccine clinic for all Portsmouth schoolchildren on Wednesday, Oct. 17 from 2:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the Portsmouth High School Library. The clinic will be staffed by School District nurses and the City’s Health Department. A parent or guardian must accompany elementary and middle school children, but high school students may attend with a student ID and a signed parental consent form obtained from the PHS nurse’s office. Parents with questions should contact their child’s school nurse.
