Candidates night at City Hall; search for Lizzi Marriott continues; another sunny, cool fall day in the forecast.

1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for a sunny day, with a high near 57. Light and variable wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon. On Wednesday night, there will be partly cloudy skies, with a low around 40. Calm wind.

2. Candidates night: The Citizens for Voter Education will hold a candidates night at City Hall on Tuesday at 7 p.m. where Portsmouth voters can learn more about the State Senate District 21 candidates Martha Fuller Clark and Peter MacDonald and Executive Council candidates Chris Sununu and Bill Duncan.

3. Search for Lizzi Marriott continues: The FBI, NH Marine Patrol, State Police and the Coast Guard continue to search around Peirce Island and elsewhere to locate the body of University of New Hampshire student Lizzi Marriott.

4. Police Commission meeting: The Portsmouth Police Commission will meet on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Portsmouth Police Department.

5. City announces trick or treat times: Portsmouth officials announced that trick or treating for Halloween will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
