"Ghosts on the Banke" this weekend; Halloween dance to be held at old Connie Bean Center; Hurricane Sandy still forecast to hit Portsmouth area next week.
1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny, with a high near 65. On Friday night, it will be partly cloudy with a low around 48. Light and variable wind. Hurricane Sandy is also forecast to hit the Portsmouth area on Monday and Tuesday with high winds, torrential rains and localized flooding. 2. "Ghosts on the Banke": Strawbery Banke Museum's annual "Ghosts on the Banke" is happening on Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event gives families a safe and fun place to do some pre-Halloween trick or treating.
3. Search for Lizzi Marriott continues: The FBI, NH Marine Patrol, State Police and the Coast Guard continue to search around Peirce Island and elsewhere to locate the body of University of New Hampshire student Lizzi Marriott.

4. Halloween dance location change: The Portsmouth Recreation Department announced that the 18th annual Halloween Costume Monster Mash Family Dance will be held at the old Connie Bean Center on Daniel Street on Saturday night instead of the new Connie Bean Center.
