1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for rain likely. The rain could be heavy at times. Cloudy, with a high near 62. Breezy, with a southeast wind 16 to 21 mph. On Tuesday night, there will be showers. Low around 53. Southeast wind 11 to 14 mph.

3. Portsmouth Halloween Parade: Neither rain, wind or any Hurricane Sandy remnants will stop the annual Portsmouth Halloween Parade that will go on as scheduled on Wednesday, Oct. 31 (Halloween). The parade marchers will step off at 7 p.m. on Peirce Island and march through downtown Portsmouth.
