Former Taco Bell Still Vacant

When we first told you about the former Taco Bell restaurant on Lafayette Road, it had been closed for a few weeks despite the fact that its location saw a great deal of traffic.

That was in August. Three months later, the former commercial space located next to the former Friendly's restaurant and Southgate Plaza is still available for a new business. It could still be a great restaurant that has great visibility on Lafayette Road or it could be well suited for a new retail use. What do you think would be a good fit for the former Taco Bell restaurant?

Here is what we wrote about it on Aug. 22:

For reasons that are still unclear, the former Taco Bell restaurant on Lafayette Road closed suddenly on Aug. 15 after serving patrons in the city for nearly two decades.

The restaurant is located next to the Ninety-Nine Restaurant and McKinnon's Butcher Shop and the former Friendly's restaurant on the other side. With such great traffic that frequents the Southgate Plaza where McKinnons is located, the former fast food Mexican-style food eatery could still be a money maker for the right entrepreneur.
