Four People Charged in Bar Fight

Two Portsmouth Police officers were injured in a Saturday night fight outside of Fat Belly's Grill and Bar.

Four people were arrested after they were involved in a fight at a downtown Portsmouth restaurant Saturday night that also injured two Portsmouth Police officers, according to Foster's Daily Democrat.
Portsmouth Police Sgt. Aaron Goodwin told the newspaper that two police officers sustained minor injuries after they and bouncers at Fat Belly's Grill and Bar attempted to break up the fight that was witnessed by more than 50 people.
According to the newspaper, Michael Schmitz, 35, of Milton was arrested on two counts of simple assault later released on $2,000 personal recognizance. Robert Schmitz, 22, of Sanbornville was arrested for resisting arrest and on two counts of simple assault and released on $3,000 personal recognizance. Jennifer Mantos, 38, of Milton and Amy Swain, 26, of Wakefield were each arrested for disorderly conduct and released on $1,000 personal recognizance.
