IMAGE GALLERY: 'Ghosts on the Banke' is Great Halloween Fun

Portsmouth area families and kids trick or treated and saw plenty of ghosts, ghouls, goblins and witches at Strawbery Banke.

Portsmouth area families and their young trick or treaters didn't let the gathering storm of Hurricane Sandy stop them from enjoying a night of Halloween fun courtesy of "Ghosts on the Banke."

For two hours on Saturday night, families could trick or treat at all of Strawbery Banke Museum's historic houses and see plenty of pirates, witches, werewolves and ghosts along the way. They could also warm up at a bonfire and even watch an outdoor Halloween movie under the the light of a Halloween moon.

Best of all, kids got to show off their great costumes and families were able to make sure they got in one pleasant night of trick or treating before Hurricane Sandy is predicted to hit the Seacoast area on Monday and Tuesday.
