Jersey Mike’s Subs Comes To Portsmouth; New Hampshire's 8th Location

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Jersey Mike’s Subs continues its expansion into New Hampshire, with a new location in the Port City that opens on Wednesday.

The latest location will be at 1600 Woodbury Avenue. Franchisee Matt Goyette, a UNH graduate, will host a fundraiser from Wednesday to Sunday to support UNH Athletics.

“My wife and I both graduated from UNH and are proud to be sponsoring UNH Wildcats Athletics as our store opening fundraiser, along with an annual commitment to serve the residents at The Chase Home,” he said.

Customers who receive a special fundraising coupon distributed through a grassroots effort before the opening can make a minimum contribution of $3 to UNH Athletics in exchange for a regular sub. Customers must have the coupon to participate in the fundraiser.

Orders at the shop can be made online, in person, or by using the company's app. Some Jersey Mike’s areas are serviced with deliveries or delivery partners via third parties. Curbside pickup will also be available.

“We lived a stone's throw from this store when we had our first child,” he said. “I've been in the Seacoast area over 25 years, and it's an honor to be opening a store in this generous community. This is a special place for my family.”

Jersey Mike’s Subs has been slowly expanding into New Hampshire since opening its first location in Keene in 2014. A second location opened in Hudson in 2020, while a location in Seabrook opened last year. The franchise now has locations in Concord, Exeter, Manchester, and Tilton, too.
