Kidnapping, Sex Assault Suspect Due Back in Court

A Milton man who police say kidnapped and sexually assaulted a developmentally disabled adult male in a Home Depot parking lot is due back in court Monday morning.
John C. Riley, 41, of 1147 White Mountain Highway in Milton is scheduled to have a probable cause hearing in Portsmouth Circuit Court.
on Arthur Brady Drive on the night of Nov. 2 following a Halloween Party at Living Innovations in Portsmouth. Police say that Riley then performed sexual acts on the male victim without the victim's consent.

During Riley's arraignment on Jan. 18 in Hampton District Court, Portsmouth Police Prosecutor David Colby said Riley was previously named the New Hampshire case worker of the year and police believe there could be other victims that Riley may have sexually assaulted. Riley was ordered held on $30,000 cash bail at the Rockingham County Jail in Brentwood at his arraignment.
