Mass. Man Charged with Driving on Lawns

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Saturday, July 27.
Saturday:
- At 12:32 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man following a domestic incident on South Street. Patrick Dorow, 25, of 11 Beechstone Apts., Apt. 2, was charged with two counts of simple assault.
- At 1:50 a.m., police reported a simple assault on Dearborn Street after the caller said a friend was jumped and punched in front of her house.
- At 1:53 a.m., police reported a turkey was struck by a car and was still in the roadway on Ocean Road.
- At 2:38 a.m., police arrested a South Berwick, Maine woman for drunken driving on Maplewood Avenue. Meredith Hall, 24, of 126 Pond Road was charge with driving while intoxicated.
- At 6:13 a.m., police reported criminal mischief after a vehicle drove onto two lawns on Mariette Drive. Joel Ly, 22, of 384 Eastern Ave., Lynn, Mass., was charged with two counts of criminal mischief (vandalism).
- At 9:20 a.m., police reported criminal mischief on Court Street after the caller said someone walked on top of his car and caused more than $1,000 worth of damage.
- At 12:25 p.m., police reported a theft of an iPhone on Lafayette Road.
- At 12:53 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after he turned himself in at the police station. Jameson French, 21, of 45 Driftwood Lane was wanted for disorderly conduct, simple assault and criminal mischief (vandalism).
- At 4:23 p.m., police reported a theft of some cash and gift cards from a purse in a hotel room near the Portsmouth Traffic Circle.
