More than 2,900 City Residents Without Power

Public Service of New Hampshire crews hope to have power restored by 11 a.m.

After experiencing Tuesday night's earthquake, more than 2,900 Portsmouth PSNH customers woke up this morning without power.

Mike Skelton, a Public Service of New Hampshire media relations specialist, wrote in an e-mail the outage occurred sometime early this morning, but he could not say what caused it.

He wrote that PSNH crews are on scene and expect to have power fully restored to all affected customers by 11 a.m. today.
