More than a year after leasing the former Outback Steakhouse at the Fox Run Mall, the new El Rodeo Mexican restaurant opened this week. The new eatery is the latest Mexican style restaurant to open in the Portsmouth area. The Cemita Shack and Vida Cantina opened earlier this year on Lafayette Road. Meanwhile, a new Qdoba restaurant is slated to open in Durgin Square later this month. El Rodeo is based in Pennsylvania and also has a restaurant in Concord. The Newington restaurant's hours are Monday to Thursday, 11 a.m. To 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. To 11 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. To 9:30 p.m.
