New Downtown Restaurant BRGR BAR Opening Soon

BRGR Bar, downtown Portsmouth's newest restaurant, is set to open later this month.

Signs went up in November at the eatery's location at Portwalk Place next to the Residence Inn. BRGR Bar was originally scheduled to open in mid-December, but a message posted on the restaurant's Facebook page recently said that some "unexpected hurdles" delayed the opening until mid-January.

Brazo owner Phelps Dieck is behind the new restaurant, which will feature burgers, fries, salads, craft beer, wine, and milkshakes. There will be about 90 seats—40 of which will be outdoors.
