Newington Woman Nabbed for DWI

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Sunday, Aug. 11 to Monday, Aug. 12.

Sunday:

  • At 9:23 a.m., police reported a burglary on Maplewood Avenue after the caller said someone entered her home and took her laptop.
  • At 12:18 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Hill Street after the caller said someone smashed his vehicle's rear window.
  • At 8:50 p.m., police reported a burglary on Bow Street after the caller said a man went on her deck and sat at her table before he was confronted by a neighbor and ran off.
  • At 9:33 p.m., police reported a theft of a placard on Pleasant Street and Market Square.
Monday:
  • At 8:53 a.m., police reported a theft of money from a safe on Congress Street.
  • At 11:48 a.m., police reported a car versus a bicyclist accident on Lafayette Road, but the victim refused medical treatment.
  • At 2:23 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Market Street and Portsmouth Boulevard after someone reported graffiti on the footbridge.
  • At 2:52 p.m., police reported the theft of an A-frame sign on Hanover and High streets.
  • At 8:56 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Blue Heron Drive after the caller said some kids broke her window.
  • At 8:59 p.m., police reported a man was bit by a dog on Leslie Drive after the victim sought treatment at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital emergency room.
  • At 9:26 p.m., police arrested a Newington woman for drunken driving on Woodbury Avenue and Market Street. Emily Zoulias, 23, of 55 Little Bay Road was charged with driving while intoxicated.
