NH Brewfest, Cinema, Live Music This Weekend

Redhook will host the fourth annual NH Brewfest Saturday; Music Hall to show "Telluride Mountainfilm Tour 2012"; Vampires & Milkman's Union rock Press Room Saturday night.

As most city residents know, there is never a shortage of fun things to do or places to go in Portsmouth. Each Friday, we will offer five suggestions for people who are planning out their weekends.

1. NH Brewfest is back: Redhook Ale Brewery will host the fourth annual New Hampshire Brewfest this Saturday that will offer nearly 150 craft beers from 37 breweries. Doors open at 11 a.m. and the event also offers great food, live music and benefits the Prescott Park Arts Festival.

2. See "Telluride Mountainfilm World Tour 2012: The Music Hall will be showing the "Telluride Mountainfilm World Tour 2012" on Saturday at 7 p.m. This year’s “best of” film tour circles the globe and profiles Denali explorers, slackliners, minimalist climbers, clean toilet activists, sit-skiers and a man who literally lives on his bike.

3. "The Woman in Black" at the Rep: This production from London's West End that is a macabre ghost story has been a hit for many years will open at the Seacoast Repertory Theatre this weekend.

4. See The Vampires and Milkman's Union: The Vampires & Milkman's Union will rock the Press Room on Saturday at 9 p.m. and there is a $6 cover charge.

5. Dover's Apple Harvest Day: If you want to connect with a vintage New England fall festival, then check out Dover's annual Apple Harvest Day on Saturday. The downtown area will offer plenty of craft booths, food and live music throughout the day.
