A local group is selling a limited number of roof slate pieces from the original Portsmouth Junior High School. For $200, people can purchase a roof slate piece that has an image of the original school that constructed on Parrott Avenue in 1930. All of the proceeds will go to the Project Safety Association, which provides prevention education programs for students and their parents in the Seacoast region. People can pick up order forms at City Hall, Kennebunk Savings Bank on Maplewood Avenue and at Portsmouth Middle School. Construction on the Portsmouth Middle School addition continues.
