Pawtsmouth Grooming Salon to Open Friday

City dog owners will soon have a new place where they can get their canine companions groomed when Pawtsmouth Grooming Salon opens this Friday.

The new Daniel Street business is located right next to Kaffee Vonsolln and will allow pet owners to either enjoy some coffee and pastries next door or some breakfast or lunch at Colby's or even a beer at the Press Room.

Owner Jessi Roy notes on the Pawtsmouth Grooming Salon Facebook page that she has returned to America from Ireland where she owned and operated Tail Waggers Holistic Grooming and Supplies in Galway, Ireland. She also says that she has been a professional dog groomer for 16 years.

While in Ireland, she had many notable clients that consisted of show dogs, celebrity dogs, and the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, dog. According to the sign posted on front of the new business, there will be a grand opening on Friday. The dog salon's hours will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Roy said that Random Acts of Sweetness will provide cupcakes for members of the public who want to come and check out the new business.
