Police Investigate Rape on Gosling Road

The following information was provided by the Portsmouth Police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Sunday, Nov. 24, and Monday, Nov. 25.

Sunday:

  • At 9:10 a.m., police reported criminal mischief on State Street after the caller said two of his car windows were smashed out.
  • At 9:47 a.m., police reported criminal mischief on Woodbury Avenue after the caller said her car door flew open and struck another car.
  • At 2:40 p.m., police reported a theft on Woodbury Avenue after a male subject stole a bag of merchandise and fled the store on foot.
  • At 4:50 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Maplewood Avenue after the caller said someone smashed his car's rear window.
  • At 6:46 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Middle Road after the caller said a male subject damaged some things in his basement with a golf club.
Monday:
  • At 7:37 a.m., police reported criminal mischief on Greenside Avenue after the caller said a driver struck a backyard fence and damaged some sections of it.
  • At 4:25 p.m., police took a report of an identity theft on Pleasant Street.
  • At 5:28 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Ledgewood Drive after the caller said someone threw a bunch of bottles at his apartment door.
  • At 5:48 p.m., police reported an iPhone theft on State Street.
  • At 5:55 p.m., police reported an iPhone theft on Deer Street.
  • At 6:17 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Ledgewood Road after some city firefighters found some broken glass and other items inside a laundry room on Ledgewood Drive.
  • At 9:55 p.m., police reported a forcible rape sexual assault on Gosling Road.
  • At 10:30 p.m., police reported a missing person on Jones Avenue after an 85-year-old male did not return home.
