Police Investigate Shooting In Rochester

ROCHESTER, NH — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Walnut Street Friday night. The shooting victim was shot in the arm and was released from the hospital. According to police, the shooting appears to be the result of a road rage incident.

The shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. Friday on Walnut Street in the area of Winkley Farm Lane, according to the Rochester police. A man and a woman were reportedly driving when a vehicle behind them began following them too closely. Both vehicles stopped and a confrontation took place. As a result, a man from a blue sedan was shot in the arm by someone in the other vehicle, according to police. The second vehicle is described as a silver/gray coupe, similar to a Chevrolet Cobalt, with a broken window.

Police are still looking to identify and locate the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 603-330-7127.
