Police Looking for Walmart Shoplifter
Portsmouth Police say woman tried to steal $714 worth of merchandise in a shopping cart.

Portsmouth Police are asking for the public's help to locate a female shoplifting suspect who tried to steal $714 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart on Sunday.
Police say the woman put the stolen merchandise in a shopping cart, left the store and was walking through the parking lot of the Lafayette Road business when she was stopped by the store's loss prevention personnel. Police say she then fled on foot and left behind the shopping cart and stolen merchandise.

People can also contact Seacoast Crime Stoppers by leaving an anonymous tip at (603) 431-1199 or at seacoastcrimestoppers.org. They can also text tips to CRIMES (274637) with the letters "TIPSCS" and leave their tips that way. If a tip leads to an arrest or indictment of the individual, the individual who left it could receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.
