Man Says Neighbor Dumped Trash on His Front Porch

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Thursday, July 18 through Friday, July 19.

Thursday:

  • At 9:23 a.m., police reported a stolen wallet at Market Basket on Woodbury Avenue.
  • At 12:31 p.m., police reported a pocketbook theft at Prescott Park on Marcy Street.
  • At 1:49 p.m., police took a walk in fraud report of bad checks.
  • At 7:03 p.m., police reported an attempted suicide on Lafayette Road.
Friday:
  • At 12:25 a.m., police reported a fight on Market Street where a group of male subjects attacked the staff at a Market Street establishment.
  • At 1:39 a.m., police arrested a 16-year-old juvenile for unlawful possession of alcohol on Winsor Road.
  • At 8:35 a.m., police reported criminal mischief on State Street after the caller said someone threw a rock through their window.
  • At 11:22 a.m., police reported criminal mischief on Brewery Lane after the glass door or a business was smashed.
  • At 12:55 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Dearborn Street after the caller said a neighbor dumped trash on his front porch and smeared trash on his front door.
  • At 2:42 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man on Congress and Church streets for motor vehicle offenses. Marcos Augustinho Deazevedo, 29, of 525 State St. was charged with operating without a valid license and misuse or failure to display plates.
  • At 5:17 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice on Porpoise Way. Rodney Bachelder, 46, of 106 Porpoise Way was wanted for default or breach of bail conditions.
