Computers, TV Stolen from City Hall

Weekend burglary netted a 32-inch flat-screen TV and three computers from the Portsmouth Schools Administration office.

Portsmouth Police are asking for the public's help to apprehend those responsible for stealing several computers and a flat-screen television from the Portsmouth school administration offices over the weekend.

Portsmouth Police Capt. Mike Schwartz said the perpetrators involved took a 32-inch Samsung LCD television and a desktop computer tower with screen and monitor. He said they also took two Dell Latitude E5400 laptop computers from the SAU 52 office area. Portsmouth school employees notified police when they came to work on Monday morning.

"Both the School Department and City Hall report that the stolen computers do not contain any sensitive or personal information and the thefts do not pose a threat to their information systems," Schwartz wrote in a Portsmouth Police press release issued on Monday afternoon.
