Portsmouth Beer Week, Live Music This Weekend
Indigo Girls at Music Hall Saturday night; Bluegrass at the Press Room; "Book of Snow" at Players' Ring.
As most city residents know, there is never a shortage of fun things to do or places to go in Portsmouth. Each Friday, we will offer five suggestions for people who are planning out their weekends.
1. Portsmouth Beer Week begins: From Saturday, Feb. 23 through March 4, beer lovers will have several events to express their love of all things brew during Portsmouth Beer Week.
2. Indigo Girls at Music Hall: The Indigo Girls will perform at the Music Hall on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. with their band, the Shadow Boxers.

3. Bluegrass at Press Room: Erica Brown and the Bluegrass Connection will make you stomp your feet at the Press Room on Friday at 9 p.m. Tickets are $8.
4. Jack Leg Preachers at Dolphin Striker: If you want to kick back and enjoy some free music, then head over to the Dolphin Striker on Saturday night and see the Jack Leg Preachers from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. There is no cover charge.

5. "Book of Snow" at Players' Ring: If you're in the mood for some drama, "Book of Snow" will be performed this weekend at the Players' Ring theatre with shows on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and on Sunday at 2 p.m.
