Portsmouth Craft Beer Week Coming This Month
Head Brewer Tyler Jones provides a glimpse of what beer lovers can expect, but no mention is made about whether there will be another "Kate the Great Day."

Tyler Jones, the head brewer at Portsmouth Brewery, knows that he has some big shoes to fill when it comes to creating a special brew for the upcoming Portsmouth Craft Beer Week that will run from Feb. 23 to March 4.
In this video broadcast on Portsmouth Brewery TV, Jones shares some details about what Portsmouth Craft Beer Week fans can expect. One of the new beers he is brewing for this event is a new Russian Imperial stout, but neither he or Smuttynose Brewing Co. officials have made any mention about which was a signature event where beer drinkers would line up around the block to enjoy the special beer made by former head brewer Tod Mott.
When Mott left Smuttynose Brewing Co. last summer, he took the recipe for "Kate the Great" with him and said he wanted to create a new brewery in York County, Maine. Smuttynose Brewing Co. owns the naming rights for "Kate the Great."
