Portsmouth Man Nabbed on Theft Charge

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Tuesday, Aug. 20.
Tuesday:
- At 10:05 a.m., police found three dead raccoons on Borthwick Avenue and the Route One Bypass southbound that were later disposed at the city's Department of Public Works facility on Peverly Hill Road.
- At 11:56 a.m., police reported an animal call on Ricci Avenue after a dog owners said their dog was bitten by another dog.
- At 2:24 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice on Parrott Avenue. Joshua S. Barnett, 35, of 14 Wedgewood Road was wanted for theft; all other.
- At 4:08 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Peverly Hill Road after the caller said someone had drove some golf balls at her house.
- At 4:28 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth woman on Chestnut Street who was wanted as a fugitive from justice. Danielle M. Lepouttre, 26, address unkniown, was wanted on a bench warrant.
- At 6:10 p.m., police reported theft at a Congress Street store after an employee said a woman was stealing some bracelets.
- At 7:26 p.m., police reported a theft from a locker at Water Country on Lafayette Road.
- At 8:11 p.m., police reported a theft on Grafton Drive after a vehicle had been broken into and an iPad was stolen.
- At 9:50 p.m., police reported a fight with two to three people on Winsor Road where a female was on the ground getting kicked. Police were unable to locate any of the individuals involved upon arrival.
- At 11:04 p.m., police reported a theft on State Street after the caller said a man stole her cell phone and ran off towards Congress Street.
