Portsmouth Police 'Expect' to Recover Body
UNH Missing Student Case: Authorities locked down an area around Peirce Island.

PORTSMOUTH, NH – Portsmouth Police have cordoned off Prescott Park, Peirce Island and some surrounding streets as a crime scene possibly connected to the missing student from the University of New Hampshire.
Police have not confirmed if they have found a body.
Police did confirm they are here in connection with the case of the missing UNH student Elizabeth Marriott. A New Hampshire Marine Patrol boat just went under the Peirce Island bridge and shot some photos. A Portsmouth Fire Dept. Vehicle also just left the area.

New Hampshire officials have locked down Peirce Island in Portsmouth. Officials converged on the area in connection with the disappearance of Westborough High grad and University of New Hampshire student Elizabeth “Lizzi” Marriott.

Police were not letting anyone near the bridge that leads to Peirce Island and nearby Prescott Park was cordoned off with yellow police tape, Foster's Daily Democrat reported.
Earlier on Friday, the search effort to locate Marriott intensified in the Seacoast area.
Currently, police will not confirm if they have recovered a body, only that the crime scene is related to the Marriott case.
