Truck Theft Suspect Captured in Manhunt
Ryan Leclair of Portsmouth now faces multiple theft, prowling and burglary charges.

A Portsmouth man was arrested early Sunday morning after he allegedly tried to break into a vehicle and fled on foot.
According to the Portsmouth Police log, Ryan Leclair, 28, of 22 Tuna Lane was spotted by a city resident on Lang Road trying to break into a pickup truck in the caller's driveway.
Portsmouth Police say Leclair fled on foot in the nearby woods as police officers from Greenland and New Castle arrived on scene to establish a perimeter. Ultimately, Leclair was caught by a State Police trooper after he emerged from the woods and found himself in front of a State Police cruiser that had also arrived to join the pursuit.
Leclair was charged with prowling, three counts of theft from a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property and burglary. He was being held on $15,000 cash bail, according to Portsmouth Police.
Earlier on Sunday morning, Portsmouth Police also reported a prowler complaint on Sagamore Road at 2:53 a.m. where some people were seen trying to break into some cars, but it was not clear if Leclair was one of those people involved.
