PSNH Restores Power to 220 Pease Customers

Public Service of New Hampshire officials say a PSNH crew may have caused the outage that lasted for more than an hour.

UPDATED, 11:44 a.m.: More than 220 Public Service of New Hampshire business customers at Pease International Tradeport had their power restored just after 11 a.m. Monday after losing it for more than an hour.

PSNH spokesperson Catalina Celentano said a PSNH crew was doing some work near the Portsmouth Fire Station to switch out some equipment when a switch malfunction may have occurred. "We had 220 customers affected," she said.

Celentano said the first power outages were reported to PSNH just before 10 a.m. She said the last businesses to have their power restored were Lonza Biologics and Paddy's American Grille.

Earlier story: Public Service of New Hampshire crews were working to restore power to more than 200 customers at Pease International Tradeport Monday morning after several businesses lost power.

According to PSNH's Twitter feed, the outages were reported after 10 a.m. and utility crews expected to have power restored to all but three companies by 11 a.m. The cause of the power outage was not immediately available.
