Calling Hours Today for Officer Arkell

Public calling hours for Brentwood Police Officer Steve Arkell are today, May 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Stockbridge Funeral Home in Exeter.

Arkell, who was killed in the line of duty May 12, was memorialized yesterday at Exeter High School as a dedicated law enforcement officer, a father, husband and coach of his daughters' lacrosse team.

"He sacrificed his tomorrow so we could have ours," Col. Robert Quinn, commander of the New Hampshire State Police, said at the memorial service.

State flags remain at half-staff through Officer Arkell's funeral.

The calling hours Thursday are at Stockbridge Funeral Home, which is located at 141 Epping Road, Exeter.
