Redhook's Polar Grill Fest Highlights Weekend Events

Todo Bien will rock the Thirsty Moose Tap House on Saturday; "RENT: School Edition" at the Rep; Juliet and the Lonesome Romeos at the Press Room Friday night.

As most city residents know, there is never a shortage of fun things to do or places to go in Portsmouth. Each Friday, we will offer five suggestions for people who are planning out their weekends.

1. Check out Todo Bien at Thirsty Moose: Todo Bien will take the stage at the Thirsty Moose Tap House on Saturday from 9 to 12:30 p.m.

2. Polar Grill Fest at Redhook: The Meat House and Redhook Ale Brewery are teaming up for the annual Polar Grill Fest at Redhook this Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.. Patrons can enjoy Redhook beers, eat lots of great food courtesy of 10 Seacoast area restaurants and enjoy live music. According to Redhook's web site, all proceeds from Polar Grill Fest benefit Share Our Strength®'s Taste of the Nation Portsmouth, part of the No Kid Hungry® Campaign to end childhood hunger.

3. See Juliet and the Lonesome Romeos: Juliet and the Lonesome Romeos  will perform at the Press Room on Friday at 9 p.m. There is a $5 cover charge.

4. "RENT: School Edition" at the Rep: The Seacoast Repertory Theatre's production of "Rent: School Edition," will be performed this weekend.

5. Dance the night away at the Gaslight: The Portsmouth Gaslight Co. offers dancing with DJ Koko in its upstairs lounge on Saturday from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. There is no cover charge and no dress code.
