Rochester Fire Victim Identified
Rochester fire responded to a smoke investigation and discovered a trailer on fire which was occupied by a man who died in the fire

ROCHESTER, NH - New Hampshire State Fire Marshal Paul J. Parisi, Rochester Fire Chief Mark Klose and Rochester Police Chief Paul Toussaint announce that the victim of the fire at 28 Jackson Street in Rochester on March 11, 2020, has been identified.
The NH Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as 50-year-old Kevin Perry of Rochester.
The cause of death was determined to be thermal inhalation injuries and the manner of death was accidental.

The investigation into the Origin & Cause of the fire continues by members of the NH State Fire Marshal’s Office – Bureau of Investigations and the Rochester Fire and Police Departments.
State Fire Marshal Parisi would like to remind all citizens of the importance of having working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms even in your recreational vehicles and campers. Additionally, Marshal Parisi stated, “Portable space heaters are designed for temporary use and must be plugged directly into an electrical outlet. Extension cords and power strips are not equipped to handle the extra current flow needed to power a space heater, which can overheat and cause a fire.”
