Scammer Targets NH Sex Offenders In Phone Scheme
The caller tells sex offenders they're non-compliant with a DNA test and have to go to the police barracks with gift cards.

NEW HAMPSHIRE — An unknown scammer is targeting New Hampshire's sex offenders, according to the state police. Sex offenders' addresses are listed online, giving this crook easy access to their info.
The person who calls introduces themselves as "Sergeant Newsome," police say, who tells the sex offender they are not in compliance with a DNA test and has warrants for their arrest. They focused on people in the Epping area.
The scammer then tells the sex offender to report to the NH State Police Troop A barracks in Epping with various amounts of money in the form of gift cards.
