Service Credit Union Joins Marines Toys for Tots Drive

For the first time, all 10 SCU branches will have donation boxes where customers can bring toys for children this Christmas.

Service Credit Union officials kicked off their new partnership with the U.S. Marine Corps to join their Toys for Tots drive on Monday at the corporate headquarters.

Service Credit Union President and CEO Gordon Simmons and U.S. Marines Corps Gunnery Sgt. Vince Donahue officially launched the financial firm's effort.

According to Lori Holmes, Service Credit Union's assistant vice president of marketing, this is the first time that the company will be partnering with Toys for Tots as a corporate-wide initiative.

From now until Dec. 14, Holmes said Service Credit Union will collect toys in all of its New Hampshire branches. The Marines will then pick up the boxes and distributed the toys to children via local agencies to help less fortunate children in New Hampshire have a Merry Christmas.

Holmes said Service Credit Union hopes to collect 200 toys for the program.
