Teens With Guns Charged In Attempted Portsmouth Robbery: Police
Portsmouth police said Shaun Barnes and Chase White were arrested after a fight in the Wamesit Place neighborhood.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Two teenagers were charged with a host of crimes related to a fight in Portsmouth's Wamesit Place neighborhood last month, according to police. Shaun Barnes, 19, of Dover, was arrested Wednesday, while Chase White, 19, of Portsmouth, was arrested Saturday. Barnes was held in custody while White was released on $5,000 bond.
Portsmouth police Lt. Darrin Sargent said the pair were at a Holiday Drive residence visiting friends Jan. 14 when they became involved in an argument and armed themselves with pistols. No one was hurt, according to Sargent.
The pair were charged with attempt to commit armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, falsifying physical evidence, reckless conduct, criminal threatening and criminal liability. Barnes was also charged with violating a protective order.

The pair possessed .45 caliber and .38 caliber pistols, which were recovered, according to Sargent.
